One Month Old!

We survived the first month of parenthood! It is hard to believe a month has gone by already. It seems like yesterday that we came home from the hospital. We continue to count our blessings and are amazed at the love we have for her.

Aniela continues to change daily before our eyes. At her one month check-up she weighed 10 pounds and 7 ounces -- proof that she is growing like a weed! She has started to smile when you talk to her and has recently started to roll onto her side when laying on her back. When you sit her up or pull her up she can control her head. At night she is sleeping between 4 and 5 hour stretches, just enough for us to function during the day. It is amazing how quickly she has changed.

She loves to lay in her cradle and look out the window and being outside always calms her down. Looks like our hope of a beach baby may come true! We are getting ready to head home to Pennsylvania to help celebrate the upcoming arrival of Aniela's little cousin (my sister Erin's baby shower). We hope that her love of the car will help us out on the eight hour trip home.
